Merve Kahraman is an award-winning designer who specializes in residential, hospitality, and product design. She has been featured as one of the Great Women Designers in Phaidon’s publication, Woman Made. Her work and products are known for their unique style and playful design. Based in NYC, Merve Kahraman welcomes projects globally.

Originally from Istanbul, Kahraman studied interior design at the Istituto Europeo di Design (Milan, Italy) before moving to London to receive her MA in Product Design from Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design (London, UK). During this time, she worked in several architecture and design studios in London, New York, and Istanbul.

In her work, Kahraman explores the relationship between her products and their users—developing a personal bond either through the means of recurring cycles or by lending the object as an extension to one’s personality. Sustainable design which redefines character and is executed through masterful craftsmanship is what the designer is constantly striving for.

Kahraman’s work has been featured in publications such as Architectural Digest, Vogue Living, Living Etc, Elle Decor, Interior Design Magazine, and Financial Times. Kahraman won the “Young Designer of the Year” Award and “Best Product Award in Bedroom Category” in Elle Decor’s International Design Awards. Her work has been published in several publications including Living in Style by Claire Bingham (teNeues), Ornament is not a Crime by Rebecca L Gross (Thames & Hudson), and Woman Made by Jane Hall (Phaidon).
